PRIDE

CMS PRIDE

We are excited to announce that Clinton Middle School has begun implementing a Positive Behavior Interventions and Support program (PBIS).

2021-2022 CMS PRIDE Summary

What is PBIS?

The PBIS model is a proactive way to establish school-wide supports needed for all students to achieve social, behavioral, and academic success.  One important piece of PBIS is developing a set of school-wide expectations that are well-known to all students and people affiliated with our school.  For our expectations, the staff team created an acronym PRIDE.

Striving for Excellence

We all have something that we like about ourselves. Some of us have a talent for music, academics or sports. No matter how big or how small we may see that special talent we have; each day when we wake up, we look forward to the time when we can participate in that activity which we find rewarding and enjoyable. Expressing our talent and abilities gives us a sense of pride. Pride is the feeling we get when we feel good about what we have accomplished, what we can do well.

We have been given the opportunity to change this school forever. Our talents and our abilities will be used to create an atmosphere of pride in Clinton Middle School. We have all had days at school that we have felt great about. Maybe we got a good grade on a test or the teacher complimented us on a job well done, or some of our friends told us that they liked our work. Regardless of what has happened in the past, we all enjoy feeling appreciated and respected. The teachers, the students, and staff can make a difference and create an atmosphere where everyone is recognized for their talents and abilities. Now, here is our chance to make that happen every day we come to school.
